1700 years after 300 bishops gathered in the town of Nicaea to formalize our understanding of our God, His nature, and His relationship to us through what would become known as the Nicene Creed, we celebrate that for Christians of all backgrounds, The Early Church’s Creed Still Speaks and Shapes Us!
Everyone is invited to join us for this special, interactive seminar on the St. Peter Lutheran Church campus, which will be led by the Rev. Dr. David Maxwell, Professor of Doctrinal Theology at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, who will guide us through a series of presentations and group discussions that will help us to comprehend what this Creed has to say to us today, and how it can help us express our faith in today’s culture.
The seminar will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM (with registration beginning at 8:15 AM). Registration is $15.00 per person, which includes your lunch and refreshments during breaks. You may register online at this link: Nicene 1700 Seminar.
Come, let your faith be strengthened, and be amazed at the riches packed into the Nicene Creed!
